Presque Isle, Marquette, Michigan

In what might be labeled the first real signs that the short Autumn season is coming to a close, Lake Superior became a bowl of rolling and smashing water today, October 15, 2019. It was the biggest gale so far for this Yankee Southerner, and I was duly impressed. The winds were gusting to 35mph and the waves grew throughout the day, up to 10-12 feet by afternoon. These images are from my morning walk, mostly a drive, actually. I will post an afternoon gallery, of even more stunning shots taken as I walked around the entire peninsula. Look for that tomorrow.

Here is a slide show of the morning photographs.
